Forgetting is the hidden weapon that wins the battles.Against Satan ….it is the hidden weapon.It is the secret weapon. It is the weapon that has kept marriages together. It is the weapon that has won the Battles, won every fight. It is the weapon almost nobody is willing to use in a war. It is the weapon almost nobody remembers in a war.It is the weapon almost nobody remembers in conflict…the weapon of forgetting. Peter almost lost his life…he was bitter, he was crying. But he used the weapon of forgetting, he was restored. He became the great preacher on the day of Pentecost. Judas forgot the weapon. He committed suicide. He could not forget his own mistake, could not forgive himself, could not walk away. Forgetting, we think, is a sign of weakness. We think of forgetting as concession. Giving up something,Okay i will forget.I am going to do this you.We forget it is a weapon whereby we wina battle. Whoever forgets wins.

Forgetting is a weapon that God gives us.It is a tool given to us by God. Forgetting is not the inability to recall or retrieve a memory. It is not amnesia.Joseph saw his brothers,he remembered. He knew who they were,but he retrieved the memory without pain because something had replaced the pain, and that was the purpose for the pain.purpose was bigger to him than the pain.The purpose for it.He said,what you  meant for evil,God meant for good. You meant to destroy me.God used that to salvage all of you.”How do you forget?You forget by displacement. You displace that memory with something.Joseph had this picture of his brothers treating him wrong.It was wrapped with pain.so,he wrapped something else  around it that covered up the pain and that was the purpose. There was a reason for that.And the reason has a benefit that the pain cannot eradicate and do away with.There is a purpose.

Your needs do not attract God.You recognition of four needs attracts God. Every blind man did not receive the attention of God. Blind men who wanted to see attracted Jesus. Poor widows did not receive all the miracles. A poor widow who admitted she needed a miracle received it see 1kings 17)pride is a thief.
